Dambulla

Enjoy an early breakfast before heading to Dambulla. Along the way, stop at Pinnawala to witness majestic orphaned elephants in their natural habitat. More than just an orphanage, it also serves as a nursery and breeding ground for elephants in need, providing a safe haven for those requiring special care. Don’t miss the milk-feeding time — it’s recommended to arrive there by 9:00 AM!

Spend the next couple of days in Dambulla, climbing the magnificent ancient rock fortress of Sigiriya — one of the greatest archaeological treasures in South Asia. Explore the scale models of buildings and temples in the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, a former royal capital dating back to the fifth century. Embark on a safari at Minneriya National Park to witness herds of elephants gathering near the vast reservoir.

Kandy

The next morning, after enjoying a hearty breakfast at the hotel, depart for Kandy. On the way, visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, famous for its spectacular Buddha-filled interiors and recognized as the best-preserved cave temple complex in the country. Continue your journey with a stop at a spice garden to learn about Sri Lanka’s deep-rooted spice industry and its many uses. Upon arriving in Kandy, visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic — home to the only surviving relic of the Buddha — and attend the evening prayer ceremony. Later, enjoy a traditional Kandyan dance and drumming performance, a vibrant cultural show featuring skilled dancers and drummers in elaborate costumes — a perfect way to spend your evening in Kandy.

Nuwara Eliya

After a peaceful stay in Kandy, travel towards the tea country – Nuwara Eliya, which is also known as ‘Little England’. Be amazed with emerald green tea leaves, cascading waterfalls, and quaint colonial buildings dotted all over the place, which would also make you feel like you are in an English city!

During your stay, experience the art of making Ceylon tea — from withering to bulk packing — with a visit to a working tea plantation and factory, and savor a freshly brewed cup of authentic Ceylon tea. Capture the breathtaking scenery and natural beauty of Nuwara Eliya, breathe in the crisp mountain air, and enjoy a pleasant evening stroll around Gregory Lake — just a few of the many delightful experiences this charming hill country has to offer.

Yala

After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, journey from the misty hills to the island’s wild side — Yala. Along the way, stop at the picturesque Ravana Falls, and don’t forget to capture a selfie with the cascading waters in the background.

In the evening, set out on an exciting safari through Yala National Park with an expert naturalist. Keep your eyes peeled for the elusive Sri Lankan leopard, as well as elephants, wild boars, and a variety of exotic birdlife. End the day with a delightful BBQ dinner by a roaring campfire, surrounded by the sounds of nature.

Galle

After a restful night in the wild, depart for Galle, home to the impressive World Heritage-listed Dutch Fort. Renowned as one of the finest examples of a European-built fortified city in Asia, it showcases a unique blend of European architectural styles and South Asian traditions. In the evening, take a leisurely stroll around the historic fort and enjoy the sunset from the ramparts — a perfect, picture-worthy way to end the day.

Heading to the Airport
